Healthcare mobile app launches FREE services for NHS following data concerns across social platforms

Following the drop in confidence in WhatsApp, as a healthcare comms tool, and the urgent need to get people across healthcare better connected, Ryalto, the UK’s leading mobile healthcare app is delighted to announce that its app messenger service is now available at zero cost for the NHS and private hospitals as part of its Freemium offering.

It was announced earlier in January (2021) that WhatsApp would be changing its privacy policy meaning users would be sharing vast amounts of data with Facebook. Ryalto noticed the significant impact this would have on healthcare organisations and is now able to offer their Freemium products to those interested. Safe, secure, scalable and ring-fenced within the organisation, Ryalto has all the features of WhatsApp yet mitigates risks and uses no personal data.

Currently live across 72 NHS Trusts and 40 private hospitals, the app has over 100,000 users and means hospital staff can display live news, find the latest protocols, search, call or message all colleagues via the preloaded directory and users do not need to share any personal details, including their own mobile number.

Jon Bennett, CEO at Ryalto, commented:

“It has never been so important for healthcare professionals to have a safe, secure and reliable platform for receiving news and communicating with each other and the leaders in their organisation. With the worrying news about what Facebook plans to do with WhatsApp user and message data, it is more obvious than ever that social platforms are not the answer. That’s why we have opened our comms and engagement app for use by the NHS for free within our Freemium offering.”
