A home blood pressure and hypertension monitor with Atrial Fibrillation (AF) detection. This product is brilliant at helping to prevent stroke risk. During a blood pressure measurement, the monitor will screen for Atrial Fibrillation. It detects AF with high accuracy – the sensitivity is 98%, and the specificity is 92%. To ensure that the measurement is accurate, the monitor takes three consecutive readings, and if any of the readings are questionable, it automatically takes a fourth reading. The display screen shows the measurement data as soon as the measurement is complete. If the device detects AF, an icon will flash on the screen to notify you of the detection. This device has a diagnostic mode that puts the user through a 7-day measurement program – the program follows the European Society of Hypertension, American Heart Association, and British Hypertension Society guidelines.
