Video consultation for general practice

The need for social distancing amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has forced many to stay at home. Many practices have made use of video consultation solutions to offer remote care. These tools are provided by NHSX, NHS England and NHS Improvement. Skype, WhatsApp and Facetime are currently used on a short-term basis as video tools. Digital Care Services Framework (DCS, also known as GPIT Futures) are safer products which are also made available. The Dynamic Procurement System (DPS) framework was also made available from Wednesday, 25th March, and has a list of approved video consultation providers. Both DCS and DPS will obtain funding from central sources.
