Research funding awards made to local health workers
Three innovative research projects have been announced as the first recipients of a grant programme which aims to improve knowledge and understanding of health inequalities in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK). Professor Yannis Pappas, director of the BLMK Research and Innovation Hub, announced the successful applicants at yesterday’s (13 May) ‘Integration in Action’ conference at the University of Bedfordshire. Each will receive a grant of up to £15,000 for work lasting up to 12 months on a project which addresses at least one of the Integrated Care System’s (ICS’s) strategic priorities.
