Medics.Academy Chief Product Officer Dr Emma Cox has been nominated for an InspiringFifty UK Award – a list of the UK’s top inspiring women leaders in tech.
Run by accelerateHER, The InspiringFifty Programme spotlights the work of women excelling in tech, with the aim of making female role models more visible and increase diversity in the field. According to a study by PWC only 22% of students can name a famous female working in technology whereas two thirds can name a man.
In response to the nomination Dr Cox said: “I’m delighted to have been nominated for such a prestigious award. Technological development is a key way of improving healthcare globally, and providing everyone with access to healthcare education.”

Medics.Academy was created five years ago to help solve the global workforce crisis through scaled education and training. The World Health Organization (WHO) predicts there will be a global shortfall of 18 million health workers by 2030.
Through its unique digital platform, the company aims to empower health professionals globally through innovative education, as well as supporting continued professional development.
Within the role of Chief Product officer, Dr Cox manages and leads multiple teams of engineers, designers and product specialists across two continents.
