Digital leaders and innovators from across the healthcare industry will come together to celebrate the exceptional achievements of the sector at the 2022 edition of the HETT Unexpected Innovation Awards on Wednesday 23 November.
Attendees will be dusting off their dinner jackets and ball gowns for the industry-leading event, which recognises champions of digital health innovation and highlights great stories of transformation witnessed over the past year.
The gala evening will be hosted by award-winning stand-up comedian, writer and podcaster Phil Wang, who has appeared on Taskmaster and Have I Got News For You, as well as his own Netflix special, Philly Philly Wang Wang.
The black-tie event will kick-off with a welcome drinks reception and offer plenty of opportunities to network with industry peers, colleagues, and friends from across the digital health ecosystem.
Following a three-course dinner, winners will be announced across each of the 14 categories. The shortlist has already been chosen by an expert panel of judges and includes some of the industry’s biggest names.
Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust leads with way with a whopping five nominations, whilst other shortlisted trusts include South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Gloucestershire Hospitals Trust.
ORCHA, Better and Sapien Health will battle it out for the Industry Collaborator Award, whilst Definition Health, Diligram Ltd and Infinity Health go head-to-head for the Most Innovative Solution for a Healthcare Wicked Problem. Several awards will also highlight the achievement of individuals, including Unexpected Innovator of the Year – contested by Myles Ackley, Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust; Wendy Blumenow, Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust; Clare Cassidy, Technical Architect at Northwest Shared Infrastructure Services; and Avie Luthra, Barnet, Enfield & Haringey NHS Trust (BEH).
