Today we are at a luxurious Georgian country house hotel at the gateway to the Peak District with healthcare professionals from around the region to speak about hot topics in the UK Healthcare sector at the Excellence In Healthcare event.
We spent the evening having a three course dinner in the stunningly unique converted salesian chapel which was decorated tastefully with fairy lights. This provided the perfect atmosphere to break the ice and create an environment where the attendees could take a back step from their day to day professions, get together and think about solutions to key issues facing the UK Healthcare sector.
Diane Baynham, Head of Digital Transformation at NHS England spoke about how she is helping to deliver key technology that will support the transformation of urgent and emergency care across the United Kingdom.
Dominic Kenny, Healthcare Industry Lead UK/I at Computacenter presented on how Computacenter and Apple enable healthcare organisations to drive efficiency, productivity and innovation by providing services, solutions and technology that are helping to drive better personal experiences whether as a care giver or recipient of care. We found out how leading institutions have achieved meaningful impact inside the hospital using Apple technology and learnt how iOS devices and apps help us develop an engaging care-at-home program.
Rachel Binks, Digital and Acute Care at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust described the service provided both to people at the end of their life and to residents in care homes by the staff in the Digital Care Hub at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
