Find out more about myrecovery at dedicated drop-in event

Patients are invited to drop-in to The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital on Wednesday 21 February to learn more and feedback on a special app called myrecovery, which gives support on their treatment journey.

The myrecovery team will be in the Boardroom (above the Main Entrance) at the Oswestry-based hospital between 10am and 4pm to collate feedback from patients on the app, offer training sessions on how patients can sign-up and use the platform, and answer any questions.

Shropshire’s specialist orthopaedic hospital has teamed up with myrecovery to offer patients an app which aims to deliver the right information at the right time through their treatment journey.

Sammy Davies, Quality Outcomes Manager, said: “myrecovery is an app which is designed to help support patients as they undergo their treatment – it’s personalised to each individual patient and will contain a range of videos, articles and an information library.

“For example, a patient who is waiting for joint replacement surgery will receive information on how to prepare for surgery and a checklist of what to bring to hospital. Following the operation, the app would give advice on what to expect after surgery and exercise videos to support rehabilitation.

“myrecovery also gives us the opportunity to better track the progress of patients through regular surveys and questionnaires.

“We really hope to see as many patients as possible at our drop-in event.”
